It is Tuesday, April 12, 2011. I love you both.
It has been an honor spending these years walking with you, talking with you, preparing meals for you, traveling with you, and homeschooling you.
Years ago, I remember sitting and talking and noticing how focused you both were on every word I spoke. To this day, you still listen intently to me, your mother, and others. This has always touched me deeply. There were times while talking with you I would just stop in the middle of whatever I was saying and hug you both. I cherish our conversations. Talking amongst each other has always been special.
Listening is a lesson in discipline. It is good to show self-control, restraint, and discretion. Lifelong relationships and a love for learning can result.
I will close this letter by saying there is a great difference between listening and following. I will write about this is a future letter.
I love you both.
